GW Scholarships and Merit Awards
All applicants are considered for scholarships and merit awards as part of the admissions process. In addition, students receiving need-based assistance may receive a need-based scholarship as part of their financial aid package.
While students may meet the qualifications for several scholarships or merit awards, only one award can be offered. A GPA of 3.0 (B) on 12 credit hours per semester, in addition to good standing at the university, is recommended for renewal of these awards.
The duration of aid is limited to 10 consecutive semesters of full-time enrollment or the number of credits sufficient to graduate, whichever comes first. Additional requirements for the Presidential Scholars in the Arts scholarship are outlined with the program admit letter.
Please refer to the Financial Assistance Sourcebook for regulations on scholarships and merit awards.
